Curriculum
Bishop Kelley Catholic School is dedicated to a curriculum defined by our commitment to academic excellence. The high standards we hold ourselves to as a Catholic school are reflected in a curriculum that has been set by the Archdiocese of Detroit and that is infused with Catholic morality, social understanding and responsibility, and the tools to help each child learn and succeed for a lifetime.
Listed below are the basic guidelines set by the Archdiocese. The Archdiocese allows flexibilities within curriculums for teachers to provide the best instruction possible for their specific classrooms. If you have questions regarding specific curriculum for various grade levels, please contact our principal, Mrs. Penny Clemens, or reach out to a teacher.

Our Students have a significant trend of performing higher on standardized tests than their public school counterparts. In fact, students who are with us from Kindergarten through 8th grade show the greatest performance over public school students.
Kindergarten through 8th Grade education instills in students repeated lessons of time management, study skills, responsibility, discipline, and learning strategies. Our teachers work together across grade levels to ensure that students receive instruction that reinforces and builds on what was learned in previous years. |
