Bishop Kelley Catholic School encourages our students to find a love for music. We have three levels to our music program.
Our K-4th grade general music program is a favorite among our students. The children begin their music education in Kindergarten with singing, dancing, and learning to read rhythms. As our students progress grade levels, they begin learning instruments, from simple percussion to recorder and ukulele. The students continue to build on their knowledge of note-reading, singing, dancing, and instrument skills. These skills are showcased at the Advent and Spring concerts.
BKCS is privileged to offer our students a full band program. Our 5th and 6th grade students attend band class twice a week in our building. 7th and 8th grade collaborate with the Zemmer Middle School Music Program, attending daily.
Bishop Kelley also offers an optional Children’s Choir. Students in choir meet twice a week to learn age-appropriate singing technique, fun songs and dances, and prepare for concerts.
